obama is expected to address the entire nation of myanmar. this trip has been criticized by some who believe it's too soon. this is part of the administration's plan to try and encourage birma as it was known to continue with the reforms. the united states has reinstated its ambassador to myanmar and has been rolling back economic sanctions on this country to now encourage is civilian governments. it's not just the united states that's been rolling back these economic sanctions that were in place for many, many years. the union announced there could be easing of sanctions. what is interesting to note is that mr. obama is visiting asia during a very difficult time in the middle east and also while he is engaged in very difficult negotiations with conservatives, congressional republicans over the looming fiscal cliff which takes effect january 1st. there's been some criticism of mr. obama of taking this trip against the background of domestic issues as well as the conflict in gaza. nonetheless, the administration says this is part of the long t

helpful to the obama administration. signed on to obama care. what happened with two of the biggest corporations in the country. too broad of a stroke. we're against regulations when, in fact, guys like me got elected because small business own eers would take me into the office and say look at the osha forms. look at all these other forms i have. and so you sit there and you paint a broad brush and you're giving breaks to the big banks on wall street to get corporate welfare and -- >> that's always the tension. the tension is individual people understand how awful it can be to be yoekd to regulations of no help to a business that grosses a million dollars a year and has five employees whereas those regulations are necessary to manage the conduct of a company with 100,000 employees that actually, you know, dumps polluted water. but they're laid out across american business and they don't have an equal impact. they impact those who can least afford to handle them and that's why regulation is a problem. it's less of a problem for big business just

did you see over the weekend president obama was in bangkok confident a deal could be made. geithner sounded confident a deal could be made. it's funny. a number of guys this weekend mentioned to me the signs to buy would not come from congress. it's going to come from the irs. a number of guys have been mentioning it's likely the deal looks possible or even very likely. the irs will issue a directive to everybody essentially telling everybody not to change withholding rates if we look like we have a deal. that's exempting the top 2% of course. when you get that even if you don't have a deal, that's a detectivi directive that the thing will happen there. keep your book light. a lot of guys play different books. 60% long, 40% short. a lot of guys a good part of their books are now in the cash side right now. the important thing is looking at some of these hedge fund returns, most returns are up 4%, 5%, 6%. somewhere around there. the s&p is up 8%. most of them are still under performing on the year. you mentioned the impact on sandy and manufacturing. this certainly makes sen
